This fanmix is based solely upon the events which take place in the Mask in the Iron Man arc in the Iron Man comic, published by Marvel. Basically, the gist of the storyline is that the armor Tony Stark (Iron Man) wears is struck by lightning and becomes sentient, and then falls in love with him and becomes the equivalent of an abusive boyfriend.
Yeah.
I tried to make this mix in the spirit of the Mask in the Iron Man arc: full of pure, mind-blowing crack, but still creepy and a little frightening.

The Armor says that it will prove Tony wrong about his crazy idea that killing people isn't the best way to do things. At this point, Tony is definitely like "Oh shit, son." The Armor says it loves you, Tony, but the bruises say otherwise. Don't they, Tony? Don't they?!

Not that it's the Armor's fault Tony is a jerk to her. No, Tony could have said he loved her back. He could have. The Armor wouldn't have stopped him. It would have killed Rumiko, sure, but Tony was free to make that choice. See? It's not controlling you, Tony!

Tony relied completely on his Iron Man armor for so long, and now he's finding himself having to find a way to escape it. See, that's ironic. Irony. ...Get it? Quesada, man, I don't think they're getting it. Can you make it a little more blatant?

It loves you so much, you're so perfect for each other, it just can't stand seeing you with some other armor.

The Armor drags Tony off to a previously-radioactive island that Tony's dad bought way back when. You know, before he died. Anyway, the Armor dumps Tony onto the ground and tells him, "You either learn to be totally mine, or I leave here alone." Then it ties him to a tree and tortures him. But really, it's only because Tony doesn't return its feelings. How could you be so callous, Tony? But don't worry, it'll make you change your mind. It's all for love, Tony. It's all for love.

Tony's heart, of course, has never been all that reliable. Well, actually, considering he was tied to a tree and then starved, dehydrated, tortured... and then managed to get loose, set up traps, and make an all-out last-stand assault on an armor built to withstand everything up to and including your average nuclear explosion, his heart is probably more reliable than mine. But in any case, right when the Armor is about to kill him, Tony suffers a massive heart attack. The Armor implores Tony to get inside it(!) so that the Armor can help him survive. Tony says the Armor can shove that shit up its shiny metal ass. He is going to die a free man! BETTER TO DIE STANDING THAN LIVE ON YOUR KNEES.
But the Armor rips out its own metal heart and inserts the wires into Tony's chest, which freaks Tony the fuck out, but essentially it takes over for Tony's real heart and stops the heart attack. The Armor is dying, of course, and despite everything that's happened between them, true love conquers all: Tony begs the Armor not to die, and promises he can fix it, but the Armor wishes to die like a man. LIKE A HERO.
It dies. Tony is sad, and gives it the best burial he can, including a grave marker that names the Armor an Avenger. Don't worry, sweetheart, with time and therapy you'll come to understand the effects of Stockholm Syndrome.
